More good, pertinent info from Vicki:

We do not use any pesticides on our farm. We intersperse decoy plants (radish, sunflower) into the crops and we use pure garlic oil spray to deter. I have also been known to curse at flea beetles! (It helps) Nitrogen is supplied by rotating legumes (natural nitrogen fixers) throughout the farm land. We also use a manure/sawdust compost. We add calcium to the soil when it needs sweetening. We have always been able to go into the fields and pull a carrot or pick a tomato and not worry about washing - just enjoy it right out there. We want our customers to feel the same.

I'm feeling pretty good about this.
