[BWNA] Unusual Req: Tomatoes?

I know this might seem an odd request/question... but while I was delivering
newsletters this weekend I saw at least three homes that had tomato plants
where the fruit was unpicked and becoming over-ripe or falling to the ground
and rotting.

I didn't get to plant any vegetables this year at all, so if anyone on this
list has or knows a neighbor who's got more tomatoes than they want, I'd love
to get permission to swing by, pick them, and do some canning for future use.

Sorry if this seems odd or off-topic but it seems like a waste to see them
just rotting and I'm a big tomato fan and cook with them a lot.

I now return you to the on-going debates about traffic calming.  ;)
