RE:  Hollywood Sewer Work Schedule through May 19

§    Starting Monday, May 8 crews will move off of NE 39th Avenue and
start work in the block of NE 41st Avenue between Hancock and Tillamook.
Traffic on 39th should return to normal while traffic on 41st will be "local
access only", with local access maintained to destinations on 41st including
Dania and the Library-Bookmark parking lot.  Work on 41st is scheduled to
continue through Fri. May 19.

§    Work at NE 43rd & Sandy and in the 4300 block of NE Hancock Street
will continue the week of May 8-12.  Crews will continue work on the large
manhole that is being built on the north side of Sandy at NE 43rd.  They
will also continue trenching across Sandy from north to south, and build a
new manhole in the 4300 block of NE Hancock.

§    After the major work at 43rd/Sandy/Hancock is complete, crews will
begin to move the Sandy traffic control as the major work area starts to
move to the 39th/Sandy/Broadway intersection.  The traffic control shift is
scheduled to start at the end of this week, May 11-12.

§    Work to bore the new sewer line under the 39th/Broadway intersection
is scheduled to start Monday May 15 with excavation of a bore pit in 39th
near the Pagoda Restaurant.

§    39th area traffic control: During excavation of the bore pit near
the Pagoda, 39th will be closed to southbound through traffic between
Hancock and Broadway.  One lane of northbound traffic will be maintained on
39th.   
 
§    After work is completed to cross Sandy and complete the two manholes
(above) crews may continue work in the 4300 block of Hancock or in the block
of 43rd between Sandy and Tillamook. This schedule is not final.

COMPLETED:  Work to install almost 900 feet of new sewer pipe in the 3500
and 3600 blocks of NE Broadway was completed between April 17 and May 5.
Broadway was re-paved May 3-4 and re-opened to normal traffic the morning of
Friday, May 5.  No additional sewer work is scheduled in the 3500-3600
blocks, but there is additional work to do in the intersection of NE 37th &
Broadway that is part of the work to be done in 37th between Broadway and
Sandy.  That work has not yet been scheduled.
