I¹ve invited these folks to our annual picnic which is coming up on August
1st.  I am looking for volunteers right now to help out with talking to
local businesses about food donations and other similar types of things.  If
you have some time and energy to help with the annual picnic, please get in

We want your participation now!   As you know we've been out in the
community through organizations, outreach events and with the help of
community volunteers.  Now, we've got an easy way to join Portland's
discussion about the future-log onto www.visionpdx.com

We want to know what Portlanders value and most importantly what they
imagine for Portland's future.  Spread the word...ask 5 people to check out
the site! We really need you.  The more people we hear from the more
accurate gauge we'll have of Portlander's values and their aspirations for
the future.  
 
What else can you do?
 
§        Host a visionPDX discussion.  We've built a volunteer pool of
discussion hosts.  If you're interested in hosting a visionPDX discussion,
see contact information below.
§        Volunteer!  We're getting out to events throughout the city (Right
now, we're recruiting volunteers for the Blues Festival, June 30th-July
4th).  We're also traveling with the Vision Vessel to encourage people to
enter the kiosk and take the vision questionnaire-check out
www.visionvessel.org <http://www.visionvessel.org/> to see its whereabouts!
Meet new people and encourage participation in visionPDX.
§        Discussion leaders-as mentioned above, we're hosting conversations
throughout Portland with all types of community groups.  To get started as a
discussion leader, attend a training where we'll introduce you to visionPDX
and provide training in meeting facilitation.
