[BWNA] Picnic update

Hello BWNA Picnic-eers!

Just a quick update.  One of our board members lobbied me and convinced me
to do the garbage pick-up thing, so we¹ll have a dumpster-type device
dropped off on the East side of the park in the afternoon of 8/1.  Bill will
be the contact person and hand them a check when they drop off the dumpster.
It will be picked up on 8/2 and cost us $82 and change.  So, if you were
planning on bringing a garbage can, for garbage, no need.

The buns: last I heard half of them were in the basement of the church, and
half had been taken to somewhere ­ I¹m hoping that Jim will rescue the buns
from the church and donate them somewhere and also figure out what is
missing and purchase it on the day of the event.

We¹ve had some good response from the non-profit community and a number of
groups will be tabling at the event.

Water feature: people will meet at 4:30 to see  how it¹s turned on and how
to monitor it for the night and I¹m hoping at that point we¹ll have some
volunteers who will be willing to take shifts through the evening.  I¹m also
trying to figure out what it takes to get that feature up and running more
often... 

7pm on 7/31 those who wish to can come join us at Deb¹s house to cut veggies
which Dave W. is purchasing.

Day of the event

5:30 gather at the 1st United Methodist Church and Native American
Fellowship at 39th to help move chairs and tables.  Bring a pick-up or
hand-truck if you have one.

Also, we¹ll need someone(s) to gather what¹s at Bethany church and bring it
to the park.

6:00 ­ have fun!!!!  Eat, drink, jump in and save the day.

I may send out another announcement if I have any other news, but that¹s all
that¹s coming to mind right now.  I¹m sure we¹ll have a great time and it
looks like the weather will be great, too!

Thanks for all your help those who¹ve stepped forward, and I look forward to
seeing you on August 1st, neighbors :)
