Minutes of BWNA board meeting May 12, 2003

In attendance: Bill Markwart, Helen Koba, Willie Nolan, Ted Perkins, Roger 
Meyer, Margaret Davis, Julie, Jean Sheuland (visitor, United Methodist), 
Heidi Blischke,  Marj Canon, David de la Rocha, Jim Karlock

The meeting opened at 7:35pm with the approval of the minutes of the last 
meeting.

Treasurers report: Deposits: $1132; Checks: $1486.35; Balance: $3813.15

A $50 dollar gift was approved to celebrate Malissa's pending twins (since 
born).

The grievance procedures were reviewed per BWNA bylaws requirements.

A $16 expenditure was authorized for a traffic map.

Willie reported on the spring cleanup: Grossed $427, cost $395. We filled 1 
2/3 40 yard dumpsters.

Ted reported on the retreat

Willie reported that he has been attending Beaumont Business Association 
meetings.

Helen and Mario will continue as newsletter editors.

Julia Haykin is coordinating the August 5th National Night Out Picnic.

Heidi will help create a list of potential helpers for the tree planting.

Willie agreed to produce an electronic version of his spring cleanup plan 
for use by others.

Liz Johnson & Jennifer are doing neighborhood packets.

It was decided to allow a 10 minute presentation from each side on the 
history of Oregon's land use laws. A Oregon Community Protection Coalition 
representative will present one side and Jim Karlock agreed to find someone 
to present the other side, or do it himself.

An expenditure of $56 was approved for "Quicken Home & Business" to keep 
the association's financial records. It will be the property of BWNA

The meeting was adjourned at about 8:40
