Minutes of Beaumont Wilshire Neighborhood Association General meeting June
9, 2003
The meeting opened at 7:36pm with the approval of the minutes of the last
meeting.
Margaret announced that 21-27 bike racks are coming.
Office Leo Yee spoke.
Kathryn Anderson gave a crime prevention presentation: Don't leave things
in cars, including spare change, registration, insurance papers. Instead
carry them.
Willy reported that spring cleanup will be every 2nd year. If city pays for
the dumpster, we will make about $400 on the last cleanup.
Julia gave update on national night out picnic
Tim Ray showed drawing of proposed building for 46th and Fremont. It is
noticeably less massive that the earlier proposal. The proposal is for two
buildings, 38 ft wide on the 100 ft lot, separated by a walkway. About
14,000 sqft. Two stories, 12 foot ceilings, 30 foot total height No parking
will be provided. Will be a green building with geothermal well for HVAC.
Brian Scott, American Planning Association, gave a presentation on land
use, with Ms. Charlotte Lehan, Mayor of Wilsonville present.
John Charles, Cascade Policy Institute, gave another viewpoint on land use.
